Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about working with Globatong.
Globatong manages the full chain between an idea and shelf-ready inventory: product development and supplier matching, quality control and inspection, ocean/air freight consolidation and customs clearance, and the reporting that ties it together. Most clients use two or three of the four services, not necessarily all of them.
US and EU importers, Amazon FBA/FBM brand owners, and growing companies sourcing product out of China who want a single accountable partner rather than juggling separate agents for development, inspection, and freight.
One named specialist — Anthony Huang — stays accountable across every stage, instead of your program passing between disconnected vendors. Supplier relationships are built directly on the ground in Guangzhou, not through a layer of brokers.
Yes. Globatong is a sibling department within the same BATONG entity. BATONG Energy builds solar and battery hardware; Globatong opens that same sourcing, QC, and logistics network to other importers and brands.

Product Development — FAQ
What clients ask before starting a development program.
It depends heavily on complexity. A private-label item on an existing tool can sample in a few weeks; a new tooled product with custom molds takes considerably longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we see the spec.
MOQs are set by the factory, not by us, and vary widely by product category and tooling requirements. Part of supplier matching is finding a partner whose MOQ fits your volume.
Yes. We regularly step into an existing supplier relationship to re-negotiate cost, fix a quality issue, or find a second-source factory — it doesn't have to start from a blank concept.
We map IP and certification prerequisites into the development plan from day one and coordinate with the relevant registration bodies or your legal counsel. We're not a law firm, so formal filings are handled alongside qualified counsel where needed.
Every Shipment, Verified Before It Sails
Third-party-grade inspection and testing coordination across the production cycle — so problems are caught at the factory, not at your warehouse.
Incoming Material Inspection
Raw materials and components checked against spec before assembly begins.
During-Production Inspection (DPI)
Mid-run checks that catch drift before it reaches the full batch.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
AQL-based sampling of finished goods, with photo-documented reporting.
Factory Capability & Social Audit
On-site review of a supplier's process controls, capacity, and labor practices.
Lab Testing Coordination
Samples routed to accredited labs for IEC, UL, CB, and CE test reports.
Container Loading Supervision
Verified quantity, packing condition, and container seal at load-out.
Standards We Inspect & Test Against
Quality Control — FAQ
What clients ask before booking an inspection.
A pre-shipment inspection (PSI) checks the finished goods themselves — usually AQL sampling right before the order ships. A factory audit reviews the supplier's processes, capacity, and labor practices, independent of any single order.
Depends on the product and destination market — commonly IEC 62619, UL listing, CB Scheme, CE/RED, UN38.3 for transport, and MSDS documentation. We confirm the applicable set with you before testing begins.
Yes — samples are routed to accredited labs and we manage the paperwork and follow-up between the factory and the lab so certification doesn't stall in email threads.
Both matter for different reasons. Pre-shipment inspection catches product defects before packing; container loading supervision separately verifies quantity, packing condition, and seal at load-out.
Consolidate Smarter. Ship With Confidence.
Multi-factory pickup, consolidated ocean and air freight, customs clearance, and Amazon FBA prep — coordinated from a single dashboard.
Multi-Vendor Consolidation
Pool cargo from several factories into a single shipment to cut freight cost per unit.
FCL / LCL Ocean Freight
Full and less-than-container ocean freight on the lanes that fit your volume.
Air & Rail Freight
Faster lanes for time-sensitive restocks and new product launches.
Customs Clearance & DDP
Duty, HTS classification, and clearance handled end-to-end at destination.
FBA Prep, Labeling & Palletizing
FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, and carton configuration built to Amazon requirements.
Bonded & Overflow Warehousing
Staging and storage near destination ports to smooth seasonal demand swings.
Lane availability and transit times vary by port pair and season — confirmed per shipment, not guaranteed in advance.
Consolidation & Logistics — FAQ
What clients ask before booking freight.
FCL (full container load) books an entire container for your cargo alone. LCL (less-than-container load) shares a container with other shippers' cargo, which usually costs less for smaller volumes but takes a bit longer to consolidate and deconsolidate.
Yes — that's the core of the service. Cargo from several vendors is picked up and pooled at a consolidation hub before a single shipment moves to port, which typically lowers the freight cost per unit.
Yes — FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, and carton configuration are built to Amazon's current requirements before the shipment moves onward.
All three are available depending on how much of the customs and duty process you want handled on your behalf. DDP hands you a landed, cleared shipment; FOB leaves origin-side handling to us and destination clearance to you.

Supply Chain Intelligence — FAQ
What clients ask about the reporting layer.
Open POs and shipment status, landed cost per unit, vendor performance scorecards, and reorder timing — pulled from the same records used to run development, QC, and freight for your account.
Data can be delivered as scheduled reports, through an API, or via EDI depending on what your team already uses — we fit the reporting to your existing stack rather than asking you to change it.
Vendor capability and QC history is tracked in a shared internal database so new programs benefit from prior inspection data, but your commercial terms, costs, and order history stay private to your account.
Unit cost, freight, duty, and QC cost are rolled together into a true per-unit landed cost, rather than looking at factory price alone.

BATONG Energy builds solar hardware. Globatong builds the sourcing, quality, and logistics chain behind it — and now, behind other brands too.
BATONG Energy
Solar panels, battery storage, and light electric vehicles — products and installed solutions for home, community, and commercial use.
Globatong
Product development, quality control, consolidation & logistics, and supply chain intelligence — for US & EU importers and Amazon FBA/FBM brand owners.
Why Globatong Exists
Guangzhou BATONG Import & Export Co., Limited was built first on relationships — with factories, with certification bodies, with freight partners — long before it was built on volume. Globatong is that same network, opened up to companies who need a single accountable partner between a product idea and a container at their door.
We work best with companies who see sourcing as a long-term chain to manage, not a one-off transaction to win.
Your Point of Contact
Anthony Huang, founder and manager of BATONG, serves as the named specialist across every stage of the chain — development, QC, freight, and reporting — so nothing gets lost between departments.
